Made it to the lovely country of Kuwait. It was a long
and sleepless journey. We are now awaiting a ride to
Iraq via air-travel. The place is full of sand...go
figure, but there is a great chow hall and hot showers!

Sand, Showers and good food...Sounds like a resort to me! Glad to hear so far so good! All is well here...your little girl is going to be a heckuva soccer player! The little guy is going to be a marksman. He's got the firing positions down. You take care of yourself big guy! You're in our prayers daily!

Take care of yourself while you're there. You are always in our hearts. Every news report I hear about the war has now taken on a new, personal significance now that you are there. I'm sure that hot showers won't be the norm so don't get used to it.

I continue to think of you there in the blazing desert, taking on responsible leadership and continue to keep you at the top of my prayers. I always enjoy our discussions and consider you a truly noble and wonderful person and friend. We may have some interesting discussions offering differing opinions at times but first and foremost I am PROUD of you and all of those men over there. Please take care of them and yourself and bring back some interesting and inspiring stories (as you always do!).
